Social Distortion’s Sunday evening set as the sunshine rallied one last time over the masses at the Empire Polo Club was 50 minutes of California at the state (and the country’s) premier music festival.

With staples like “Mommy’s Little Monster” and “Story Of My Life” ringing from the main stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Social Distortion became the kings of California, punkers who have become iconic rock legends.

COACHELLA 2013: Celebrities at the festival

One of the best places for celebrity spotting at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is the bathrooms.

Years ago I once saw Corbin Bersen make his way to the portapotties.

Talking to one of the nice people who directs the bathroom traffic into men and women’s areas (new for 2013), I found out most of the celebrities have been nice, including Jessica Alba, who stopped and talked to people, and Solange Knowles, who was on hand weekend one to perform with The xx.
