My most surreal Coachella Festival moment so far in 2013 is seeing Nick Cave backstage with sunglasses at night, with two small children.

He performed Friday night with Grinderman and will be on stage again Sunday night with the Bad Seeds. Check out this photo gallery from the Grinderman set.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs had their Coachella Coronation on the main stage Friday night.

The art punk band was led by its Queen, Karen O, who came on stage in a gold lame cape and a headpiece, waving her microphone like a scepter. Later she would be swinging the mic like a mace.
