The best act I saw at Stagecoach this year was The Lone Bellow, which played the Palomino Stage on Saturday afternoon.

Nick 13 is always a treat to see live and his Stagecoach 2013 set didn’t disappoint.

Dressed in a seafoam green Nudie suit bedazzled with his name in black sparkles on the back, Nick 13 played a set of rambling country music that included his solo work and some Tiger Army favorites.

The people you see at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival are here for the music and the party.

Here are some of the people you might encounter:

-Women in skimpy American flag bikinis and men in American flag swim trunks.

-Performers braving the heat in full on suits, like Nick 13, who wore a sea foam green Nudie suit with black sparkles. These performers tend to be in the tents rather on the Mane Stage.

One of the more popular and unique food choices at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival is their barbecue alley.

Pushed off into the corner, more than a dozen barbecue groups compete in the annual cook-off.

Here festival goers can get ribs, brisket, chicken and pork, fire cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had a taste of Rooftop Barbeque’s ribs and their sister outlet Basement Barbeque’s brisket, both really tasty.
