Not only can you see Mumford & Sons at San Manuel Amphitheater in Devore on Sunday, June 2. You can now camp at Glen Helen Regional Park, too. (Tickets and camping passes go on sale Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. at Live Nation’s website.)
The show is going to be more of a festival environment than a normal headlining performer San Manuel Amphitheater show and sleeping on site means more than passing out in your truck bed at Ozzfest after tailgating too hard.
In addition to Mumford & Sons, Michael Kiwanuka and Mystery Jets will perform and will be joined by more performers who will be announced soon.
The camping is $100 per car ($175 for an RV). The park will open early for campers at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. Checkout time will be noon on Monday, June 3.
For additional fees on-site, you will have access to the activities in and around the park, including swimming and fishing (license required).
The other cool thing about this show is that you will be able to bring in food, picnic baskets, soft sided coolers, factory-sealed non-alcoholic beverages (no glass) and blankets into the venue.
Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the venue.
For the show, the parking lots will open at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 2 and doors will open at 3 p.m.
If you want to access the camping area you will need a ticket and a camping pass. And the camping gate will be at gate 1, off Glen Helen Parkway. Each camping group will have one parking spot for their car, plus open space reserved behind their vehicle for their tent.
You have to arrive together in the same vehicle to camp together.
There is quiet time from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Leave your drugs, weapons, fireworks, kegs, beer bongs, wrapped/sponsored vehicles at home.
Here’s a list of Live Nation’s recommend items for camping:
-A tent
-Clothing for all temperatures – the nights can be chilly.
-Sunscreen/sunblock.
-Your happy smiley face ready to have some fun.
There will be temporary restrooms and showers adjacent to the campground area and a campground store with drinks, snacks, ice and basic toiletries.
Pets are not allowed, unless it’s a service animal.
